Amputation Project, Nuit Blanche  October 2010, ArtaGallery, Toronto, Ontario

I’ve been working on this on-going Art project entitled “amputation" since 2001. This anti war piece which is a dedication to the victims of violence is an installation of a pile of several thousands of plaster casts of hands and fingers. I decided to work on this project some 10 years ago when I was surfing internet and I saw this picture at RAWA. That is where the idea and title of the project came up.

در سال 2001 ضمن گشت و گذار در اینترنت به این عکس برخوردم و ایده کار بر روی اثر "قطع عضو" از آنجا گرفته و شروع شد. از آن پس در تابستان هر سال با قالب گیری از دستان و انگشتان مردم بر روی آن کار کرده ام.  این پروژه  در برنامه  نویی بلانش( شب زنده داری) به مدت 12 ساعت یعنی از 6 عصر تا 6 صبح در 2م آکتوبر 2011 در آرتا گالری در تورنتو آنتاریو در معرض دید عموم با بهترین استقبال ممکن و بینظیر. قرار گرفت.
